Timur Maratovich Bekmansurov (born March 8th, 2003) is a Russian who committed the Perm State University shooting on September 20, 2021, in Perm, Russia. He killed 6 people and wounded 47 with a shotgun before he was arrested.

Shooting edit

On September 20, 2021, in Perm, Russia, Timur Bekmansurov arrived at Perm State University at 11:30 a.m., armed with a 12 gauge Huglu Atrox T shotgun and dressed in a helmet and a balaclava. He first shot and wounded a security guard, then entered the university and started shooting at students and professors who barricaded themselves with furniture to close the interior doors. At 11:35 a.m., Bekmansurov, who by then had crossed from building No. 8 to building No. 6 and descended from the second floor to the building's hallway, was wounded and restrained by a police officer and taken to a hospital where his leg was amputated.

Sentence edit

On December 28, 2022, Timur Bekmansurov was sentenced to life imprisonment.
