He first shot and wounded a security guard, then entered the university and started shooting at students and professors who barricaded themselves with furniture to close the interior doors. At 11:35 a.m., Bekmansurov, who by then had crossed from building No. 8 to building No. 6 and descended from the second floor to the building's hallway, was wounded and restrained by a police officer and taken to a hospital where his leg was amputated. | ||
