On November 30, 2019 Tropa del Infierno gunmen assaulted the city hall in Villa Union, Coahuila, kidnapping people and stealing cars. The next day, police pursued them and rescued most of their hostages. In the confrontation, 17 gunmen, 4 police officers, and 2 civilians were killed.
