Vernon Coleman

Vernon Coleman is controversial blogger and novelist by conspiracy theory, vaccine hesitancy, and AIDS denialism.

Coleman's medical claims are generally discredited, and he mentions unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

He has been criticized for self-phblishing various books.

Background

He was born in England in 1946.

As a child, Coleman was undecided about his career path, but at the age of 12, a family friend encouraged him to become a doctor.

In 1970, he qualified as a doctor and worked as a general practitioner. Also, In1981, he was fined by the DHSC for refusing to write the name of his diagnosis on a medical report because he believed it violated confidentiality regarding his patients.

He surrendered his medical license in March 2016 and is therefore not currently registered or licensed as a GP Principal.

After the publication of his first book, "The Medicine Men", Coleman left the National Health Service to devote himself to writing.

HIV/AIDS denialism

In the 1980s, he claimed that "AIDS is a hoax" and wrote, "it is now my considered view that the disease we know as AIDS probably doesn't exist and has never existed". Also, On November 3, 1988, Coleman wrote: "those who still claim that AIDS is a major threat to those who enjoy straight sex are either illiterate or irresponsible".

n November 18, 1989, in his column "Health Matters," he endorsed the AIDS denial claim of The Sun in an article headlined "AIDS—THE HOAX OF THE CENTURY", and similarly argued that AIDS was not a serious risk to heterosexuals, that medical companies, doctors, and condom manufacturers were conspiring to scare the public, and that moral activists had a vested interest in profiting from public services.

COVID denialism and Anti-vaccination

Coleman has claimed "COVID-19 is a hoax and vaccines are dangerous for which he has been criticised by the medical communities" on his blog.

In 2021, Coleman claimed "no one can possibly know if the [COVID-19] vaccine is safe and effective because the trial is still underway; thousands of people who had the vaccine have died or been seriously injured by it; legally, all those people giving vaccinations are war criminals", but this claim has been debunked by Health Feedback, a member of the "Vaccine Safety Net", a project led by the WHO.

Afterwards, Coleman claim "COVID-19 vaccines are dangerous, having killed many people and causing serious adverse effects on many more (strokes, neurological problems, allergies, blindness, paralysis); people who got the COVID-19 vaccine have been pathogenic primed, their immune system is going to overreact when in contact with the virus, causing lots of deaths" and that "bodies of vaccinated people are laboratories making lethal viruses".

His claims have been debunked by the Poynter institute because none of the claims have any legitimate medical basis and are complate hoax.

On 13th March, 2021, The COVID-19 vaccine has sent out baseless information that it is a weapon of mass destruction.
