William "Riley" Gaul was the college student responsible for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Emma Walker.

Background

William Riley Gaul was a football player attending the same school as Emma Jane Walker, he was two years older than Emma, and was liked by Emma, her parents, and the general population of his high school. Over time, however, it became apparent that Riley and Emma had a very unhealthy relationship, and he would text Emma things like calling her "the biggest bitch he'd ever met". Emma's parents, Mark and Jill Walker, understandably lost their trust in Riley over time, and banned him from coming to their house.

However, Gaul would not accept this, and would continue to stalk Emma until he eventually shot her via a gun. He was later arrested for his crimes.
