The Witpoortjie Movement is a group established in 2022 after the 2-day power outage in Witpoortjie thanks to cable theft. While many residents in Witpoortjie came together for a noble cause, some didn't want to interfere because of the plans the group had, and succeeded with.

On day one of the power-outage, the group started coming together and harassed the mayor and deputy mayor of Roodepoort, and when told the cables are being restored, the people got impatient and started terrorizing the two officials, as well as any person seen in the darkness of night, spreading fear.

On day two, they started to push the people's buttons which caused even more problems than it solved. They laid to rest when the cables where restored and the power would come back on. When the power came on, everybody in Witpoortjie put on their devices, which caused a overload of the system, and the power was cut off again. The group then started their anger again, and said that if the power doesn't come back on, they're going to make it come back on. However, luckily, the power was restored and they weren't heard from again until the Zama Zama incident.

After the outbreak, the group fought and terrorized the Zama Zamas at Bastion as they terrorized Witpoortjie. After the mass rape of 8 women in Krugersdorp thanks to them, the group accused former president Jacob Zuma of plotting and piloting the Zama Zamas. However, the Zama Zamas are out of Witpoortjie and the group has declared rest, for now.
