Zachary Jordan Alam is an extremist that participated in the 2021 United States Capitol storming. He is also known as the Helmet Boy by media officials as he was identified as a rioter trying to destroy a window to the Speaker’s Lobby, where he used his helmet to physically batter and break the window into pieces. Said window was ultimately shattered, were several rioters, including most notably Ashli Babbitt, followed suit and attempted to break in. Although Alam was successful in breaking in, minutes later Babbitt was shot and killed by police.

Alam was later arrested by police. He was shown to be difficult to arrest, as he was seen resisting arrest, shouting profanities, and attempting to assault and escape being handcuffed.

Court records reveal that Alam has been arrested a number of times previously between 2016 and 2020 for grand theft and unauthorized vehicle usage.
