2008 Mumbai attacks
The 2008 Mumbai attacks (also known as 26/11 and India's 9/11) were a series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India in the course of three days, from November 26, 2008 to November 29, 2008. The Pakistani militant Islamist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba was the primary party responsible, and committed terrorist actions including mass murder, arson, hostage situations, and bombings. The Leopold Cafe, Chhatrapati Shivaji Train Station, Taj Mahal Hotel, Trident Hotel, Cama Hospital, and Nariman House were the locations of the attacks. 166 victims were killed and more than 300 were injured. 9 of the 10 participants were killed in action, with Ajmal Kasab being the sole surviving attacker.
