Abdoullakh Abouyedovich Anzorov was a Russian immigrant and Islamic State supporter responsible for the murder of French schoolteacher Samuel Paty in 2020.
On 16 October 2020, Paty, who had recently showed an image of the prophet Muhammad in his classroom during a class on freedom of expression, was tracked to his workplace by Anzorov. As Paty left, Anzorov approached him and hacked at him with a knife while screaming "Allahu Akbar!". He eventually decapitated Paty and took a photo of his severed head, posting it on Twitter. Minutes later he was shot nine times and killed after attacking responding police officers.
