Ackquille Jean Pollard, also known by his stage name Bobby Shmurda, is an American rapper who became quite popular after signing a deal with Epic Records and releasing his hit single "Hot N*gga".
He was arrested by the New York City Police on December 18, 2014 and was charged with murder, weapons possessions and reckless endangerment. He pleaded guilty in 2016 and was sentenced to prison for seven years, which was reduced to five due to credit for the two years awaiting trial counting towards the sentence.
