Hu Jintao (21 December 1942 -) is a Chinese politcian and former President of China from 15 March 2003 - 14 March 2013, succeeded by Current Chinese president Xi Jinping. He is widely known for his harsh Suppression of the Protests in Tibet during his time as the Spokesperson of the Communist Party of China in Tibet. He is currently the only living former president of China.
