Karl Gebhardt

Karl Gebhardt is a Nazi Party doctor and war criminal who served as Medical Superintendent of the Hohenlychen Sanatorium, Consulting Surgeon of the Waffen-SS, and Chief Surgeon in the Staff of the Reich Physician SS and Police. Most notably, he was Heinrich Himmler's personal physician. Gebhardt was responsible for numerous human experimentations on concentration camp prisoners in Ravensbrück and Auschwitz. Gebhardt was eventually convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity and sentenced to death on August 20, 1947. He was eventually hanged on June 2, 1948.
