Maria Fritzl (1893 - 1980) was the mother of Josef Fritzl.

Maria Fritzl was born in 1893 and lived in a farm.
She had a husband called Josef Fritzl Sr., who died in 1944 in World War II, they had a son called Josef Fritzl.
Maria Fritzl was abusive to her son and never showed him any love. She also liked to beat and kick him until he was on the floor bleeding, which made him feel weak and humiliated.
She never kissed and even hugged her son, even through he tried very hard to please her. The only thing she did with him was go to church.
However, years later, Josef Fritzl locked Maria Fritzl for years until her death in the top of the house he had moved. He then bricked up the window so that she never saw daylight again. Maria Fritzl died there sometime in 1980.
Four years later, Josef Fritzl locked his daughter, Elizabeth Fritzl for 24 years, he raped her and had 7 children with her.
