Sophia Rosing is a 22-year-old former University of Knetucky student who assaulted a black student on campus in November 2022.

After a college party, Rosing, who was extremely intoxicated, harassed freshman Kylah Springs, a student desk attendant at a residence hall. Rosing verbally and physically assaulted Springs, calling her racist slurs. At one point, Rosing attempted to swing a nearby shopping cart at Springs inside the dormatory. A video of the incident later surfaced on social media platforms, which gained viral attention. Rosing was banned from campus following her crimes.

Rosing was shortly arrested on accounts of assault and public intoxication. Protests against black racism later spread across the campus following her crimes, with Springs speaking out against her harassment. The University of Kentucky later issued a statement regarding the incident:

Early this morning, a disturbing incident was captured on video in a residence hall. The video is deeply offensive, and we take it very seriously. Our Office of Student Conduct also is conducting an immediate review, and our Student Success teams are reaching out to the student victims who were subject to this behavior to offer support.

However, Rosing was later released from imprisonment on a $10,000 bond.

• Accoridng to her LinkedIn profile, Rosing double-majored in business marketing and merchandising, apparel and textiles.
• She was a member of College Fashionista, a community of college fashion and beauty influencers. However, the community cut ties with her after her crimes. She additionally had a brand ambassador deal with Dillard's, who also condemned her actions and severed ties with her.
• It is mentioned that Rosing suffered from anger management issues frequently.
• A video before the incident showed Rosing insulting a man and bragging about her being "rich as fuck".
