Peter Manfredonia is a former student of the University of Connecticut who is a murderer of two people in May 2020. He has been suspected of successfully killing two people and kidnapping a third person. Law officials had been on a six-day manhunt trying to track him down from Connecticut to Maryland.

Manfredonia was responsible for the death of 63-year-old Theodore DeMers, who was killed via stabbing and sharp force, and 23-year-old Nicolas Eisele, a high school classmate who was shot in the head by Manfredonia. A motive for the murders has not been established. In addition, he had also attempted to murder 80-year-old Navy veteran John Franco, who attempted to intervene Manfredonia when he was on a rampage killing DeMers, though Franco despite heavy injuries survived.

Manfredonia was revealed to be a former engineering student at UConn who primarily focused on engineering business and management. His ex-girlfriend revealed that Manfredonia is likely mentally unstable after his breakup with her. She also stated that Manfredonia had an obsession with weapons, particularly with samurai swords.
