Hate speech is characterized by threatening or abusive language directed towards a specific group of people, often on the basis of religion, race, gender, or sexual orientation. Hate speech is commonly linked with hate groups and hate crimes.
Demonization and blood libel are forms of hate speech as a means of spreading hateful propaganda.
